While getting ready for a magazine article with pictures back in August, I came up with several ideas. The cabin/lodge look with lots of plaids and flannels and fur.
Red and black, flannel, check fabric….I love all of it!
The other idea was all things Gingerbread. Cookies, recipes, Gingerbread cake with creamy icing drizzled on top. Gingerbread decorating ideas….the ideas flooded my mind.
So for starters I finished the lodge/cabin look for the magazine and here is the Cover! I’m pretty happy with it.
Creating is my favorite thing to do. Many nights I lay in bed thinking of ideas, I have a tablet next to my bed so that I can write things down so that I can remember them in the morning. Then the next day I start sketching my ideas on to paper. Many times I will cut things out based on those sketches and see if it sews together easily. That isn’t usually an easy process, but one can hope!

This Gingerbread doll came to mind. I wanted her to look sweet, but also ready to bake! So in the design I made a little recipe card that could be printed out….a very little one….so she could write her own favorite recipes out.
It also seemed very important that there was some type of Gingerbread house….a pillow of sorts. Not too detailed so it could easily be made before Christmas….
I’m always a fan of quick and easy projects. Pretty fabric, but pretty simple patterns and direction. What do you think? Here are some cute Gingerbread Vintage images.
Save them or print them out and frame them for a little Gingerbread decor in your home for the Holidays! I printed them out and then covered the little sayings with Christmas stickers that I had.
